Address Search
Private persons in Germany
Firstly the addresses submitted to us are checked for entirety and feasibility as well as for doubling. Also any temporary addresses (e.g. correctional facilities, hospitals) are filtered out. You receive this information back free of charge. Then research is carried out in our own information databases with more than 7 million relocation data. Should these efforts not lead to the desired results, the search moves on automatically and free of charge to Search Phase II. With the framework of Phase II we revert to external consumer and address databases (approx. 40 million persons) and to credit agency databases.

Should the search in Phase I or Phase II prove to be positive, enquiry fees will be payable. No fees are charged for fruitless enquiries. If the requested person could not be traced during Phases I and II, the query moves immediately to Phase III. (Enquiry to Registry Office). Due to the time required for a reply from the Registry Office, an average processing period of 5 – 20 work days can be expected in Search Phase III. We check the results achieved so far for feasibility and begin the deliverability check immediately for all supplied addresses. If the result is that the person searched for has moved again, upon request we undertake a further enquiry with the Registry Office (EMA Follow-up Search Enquiry).

The fees for the initial enquiry at the Registry Office are already included in the costs for the Search Phase III. For any possibly necessary follow-up or multiple enquiries with the Registry Office, additional costs are incurred.
Each address we trace is checked for deliverability. The newly traced addresses go through a procedure consisting of several phases. For one part we can already determine the deliverability using electronic means. In the other cases we carry out a written deliverability test, i.e. we send a registered stamped letter to the new address. If we do not receive our letter back within a certain period, the address is deemed as deliverable. Subsequent returns can therefore be reduced to a minimum.
Due to this deliverability test one can reckon with a search period of 5 – 8 work days during the Search Phases I and II.
